York Van Nixon III is a native of Washington, D.C. When not writing or consulting, he spends his time restoring his post bellum home in downtown Washington. Although he holds formal degrees in Psychology and Dance, he considers the unique personalities encountered around the world to be molders of the person he is today. The author’s first major brush with Multiple Sclerosis was in the 1970’s, when he was a student at the venerable Jones-Haywood School of Dance. Because so little was known about MS in those days, he was not diagnosed until thirty years later after he fell near the end of a marathon. "Those facing MS must consider the potential benefits of the ABC drugs." The author tried Avonex and Rebif for five years. Today he prefers to treat his symptoms with vitamins, herbs, exercise, and determination. "The choice to take them or pursue an alternative approach is serious. Whichever regimen one chooses, it should treat the soul as well as the obvious physical challenges of one of the least understood diseases, now affecting of the quality of life of those who never dreamed a worse nightmare." "Consciousness as we understand it can only be realize by reducing every nanosecond into an experience." "When comes to writing, I strive to impregnate words with passion and endless possibilities to allow the reader to create worlds within the un-tilled soil under their fingernails."
